FREE Doggie Photo Booth 01/11/14

It's a new year and we're starting it off with our FREE Doggie Photo Booth at Kennedy Park in Coconut Grove on Saturday, January 11th 2-6pm. This story is one of the reasons we do this.

Prudence, The Story of: The truth is that we didn't choose Prudence, Prudence chose us. She was one of 7 little black pups that were abandoned outside of Pet Supermarket in February of 2010 (when we were having the nights that ice was building up on the windshields of the cars). The poor pups were left in a cardboard box with no food or water and a raggedy towel to keep them "warm". They had not even opened their eyes yet. A friend of mine, Cattie (a fellow bleeding heart) decided to take them home and nurse them to health. After a few weeks, she reached out to me to see if I could help her by "fostering" one or two of the pups. When she arrived at our home, she let out the sea of tiny black pups on the living room floor to a very excited toddler (Tyler). Prudence, immediately broke from the pack and made her way over to me. Determined not to get attached, I placed her back with her brothers & sisters, where she broke off again and made her way to a very skeptical Todd. With one hand, he picked her up and examined her like Martha Stewart would examine a fig. With a half smile, he looked into her tiny brown eyes and said "so I guess you're the one, huh?". Ever since then, she has been a member of the family. And, I'm proud to say that calling out "Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?" still has not gotten old.

Blog About a Dog; The Story of Jake...

Hiya Everybody,
So here is a little something we would like to start sharing on our DPB (Doggie Photo Booth) blog.

The story of how you and your four legged friend(s) first met!

Our first story,
Jake and Lauren as told by Lauren herself.

I was driving home to miami from tally and I stopped to pick up a friend in Gainesville. It was late so I slept over at her apt that night and we got up early the next day to complete the drive. All night we were kept up by a puppy whining and we figured it was a neighbors dog. In the morning I went outside and he ran up to me and licked me like crazy (shocking I know!!) he looked like a black cotton ball! Teeny tiny and puffy!!!

We knocked on doors to see whose dog he was but none of the neighbors had seen him. So I decided he would take the road trip with us and we would ask again when we got back to drop her off. I called my sister she suggested the name jake and I got some puppy food and a leash at Winn-Dixie. No body claimed him when we got back to gville so I decided to keep him!

When I took him to the vet she said he was only 6 weeks old (by his teeth) He has always been very energetic and hyper. Very fun and sweet personality (although he can be a bitch sometimes lol) his favorite thing to do is go running with me at night. He waits all day to do that and runs around the house jumping on the couch when I take out my running shoes. We lived happily ever after ;P
